As citizens and as an educator in the city of Erlanger we appreciate the honesty, transparency, and collaboration that Jessica has with all in our city. She has been instrumental in the creation of the Erlanger Business Council and has worked to bridge the gap between government and education by providing an avenue to build collaborative relationships. We are hopeful for these continued relationships to not only better support our students and families, but to continue to build a stronger community TOGETHER and we feel that Jessica would be the best person for this!
Being innovative, thinking outside the box, challenging what has always been done (and the “we don’t want to change because it’s something new or different” mentality), and challenging the “you’re too young to understand or know adage,” is relevant, especially in this day in time. Our community is changing, and in our minds, we feel that Jessica’s mindsets are in step with those changes.
At the Candidate Forum, it was acknowledged that the progress, ideas, and programs that have been implemented over the past 4 years was because of the council and council committees. We know that Jessica’s openness, and willingness to listen and work with citizens and council members are the most important qualities one should possess.
Why aren’t we more supporting of those willing to think outside the box to make our community stronger and better? In education and the business world that is what we do every day to meet the needs of our students and clients. The needs of communities change as well. Erlanger needs someone like Jessica as our leader!
